Process at WebWorks West, Inc.
A successful Web Site development project starts with careful planning. We have developed a procedure to ensure that the project moves through its various stages smoothly.
First Things First
Understanding your business is the critical first step. We work with you to clearly understand your current needs and long-term goals, as well as the competitive environment in which your business operates. We define how we will gauge the success of the project. It is at this stage that we also outline the initial schedule.
Architecture & Interface Design
The content of the site is outlined, and we work with you to determine how to most effectively present that information to your customers. Functional, technical and creative requirements are set. Once the information architecture is developed, we put up for your review a “Test” Site. The design elements are created and prototypes are put on the Site for your approval.
Copy Writing, Product Listing & Photo Editing
We'll use the architecture we've established and the information we've gathered from you and begin to pull together the content of your new Site. Copy, Product Listing Information and Photos are arranged in order, proofed and edited before placement.
Implementation & Testing
We now do the coding for the site. Once the site is built, we upload the files to the “Test” Site and commence tests for ease-of-use, cross-platform and general functionality. Any function problems or issues are identified and solved.
Launch & Follow-up
Once all Quality Assurance issues are resolved, we put the site online at the specified URL. If you are going to be maintaining the site in-house, your support team is trained. Your site is registered with the major search engines and the Site performance is monitored and optimized.
